Our Trustees

At Sheldwich School we are privileged to have an enthusiastic and dedicated group of governors, known as trustees. The Trustee Board influences the ethos of the school; its philosophy and general atmosphere with a view to promoting high standards of educational achievement for all. This includes setting and reviewing targets for pupil achievement, managing the school’s finances, making sure the curriculum is balanced and broadly based, appointing staff and reviewing staff performance and pay.

The Trustee Board includes representatives from the local community and elected parents and staff, including the headteacher.

Trustees are linked to both curriculum subjects and classes and meet as the Trustee Board at least every other term (3 times per year) and the minutes of the meetings are freely available either from the school office or attached below. The trustees regularly visit the school for updating and monitoring purposes.

There are two main sub-committees; Education Committee and Finance & Resources Committee.  Both meet every other term; 3 terms a year.
