School Dinner Menu for Term 5 and Term 6

 

Dinner Prices 

Little Hedgehogs and Classes 3, 4, 5 & 6 

- £2.67 per day (£13.35 per week)

 

 

 

 

We have two fantastic cooks here at Sheldwich who prepare and cook everything on the premises. They  work for CH&Co (previously Principal Catering Ltd) who source all fresh meat, vegetables and fruit locally. We can cater for any dietary needs e.g.coeliac, dairy intolerance, allergies including eggs and nuts, vegetarians etc. If you would like to meet our cooks, to discuss a particular food related issue, please do not hesitate to call us on 01795 532779 or come to the school office.

 

School dinners for all children in every year group must be booked online by parents and carers and paid for in advance by registering at https://chandco.myschoolmealorders.com/

 

Little Hedgehogs Pre-School Meals

If you would like hot meals for your child at Little Hedgehogs, please register as detailed above to book and pay. Pre-School dinners cost £2.67 each and are taken over to Little Hedgehogs building in insulated containers. 

 

 

Universal Free School Meals

 

If your child is in Class R, 1 or 2, they are provided with free school meals which must be booked in advance as detailed above. The majority of our infant children enjoy these meals every day or, if you would rather your child ate a packed lunch, please send this in with them. 

If any parents with children in KS1 (Classes R, 1 or 2) are receiving any of the benefits below, you may be able to claim for extra financial help with uniform, school trips, music lessons etc. If you would like to know more, please click on the link at the bottom of this page.

 

Class 3 - 6 

School dinners for children in Key Stage 2 (Classes 3, 4, 5 and 6) must be booked and paid for in advance by registering with CH&Co as detailed above. The cost each day is £2.67.

 

If you are in receipt of any of the benefits below, you may be able to get free school meals for your child. Please apply online at https://www.kent.gov.uk/education-and-children/schools/free-school-meals.

 

You must receive one of these benefits to qualify:

  • Universal Credit - if you apply on or after 1 April 2018 your household income must be less than £7,400 a year (after tax and not including any benefits you get)
  • Income Support
  • income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
  • income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • the guaranteed element of Pension Credit
  • Child Tax Credit (provided you’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)
  • Working Tax Credit run-on - paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit.

 

Your eligibility will be checked and your application processed straight away. If your application is successful the school will be notified by email immediately and your child should start receiving their free school meal within 24 hours.
